The Project Manager will oversee the implementation, enhancement, or transformation of ERP-based asset-management processes, with a focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Asset Management.

The position requires strong ERP-delivery experience, knowledge of maintenance and asset-intensive operations, and the ability to coordinate business, technology, implementation-partner, vendor, and field teams.

This is a hybrid Houston-area contract role with occasional travel to operational or project sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the ERP and enterprise asset-management project from discovery through deployment and stabilization.
  • Develop and manage the project charter, integrated schedule, budget, scope, resource plan, governance model, and RAID log.
  • Coordinate workstreams covering assets, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, work orders, inspections, spare parts, procurement, inventory, finance, and field operations.
  • Manage business teams, technology teams, implementation partners, vendors, and third-party service providers.
  • Facilitate project-governance and steering-committee meetings.
  • Provide accurate executive-level reporting on schedule, scope, budget, risks, decisions, dependencies, and outcomes.
  • Ensure business requirements remain aligned with the Dynamics 365 solution and overall program objectives.
  • Manage data migration, integrations, security, testing, training, organizational change, cutover, and deployment dependencies.
  • Coordinate system-integration testing, user-acceptance testing, operational-readiness reviews, and go-live planning.
  • Support maintenance, reliability, supply chain, operations, finance, and field-service stakeholders.
  • Ensure safety, audit, compliance, and operational controls are considered throughout delivery.
  • Lead stabilization, issue resolution, lessons learned, and transition to operational support.

Required Qualifications

  • Ten or more years of ERP project or program-management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering ERP, enterprise asset management, maintenance, reliability, or field-service projects.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.
  • Strong understanding of Dynamics 365 Asset Management or comparable enterprise asset-management functionality.
  • Knowledge of asset lifecycles, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, work orders, spare parts, maintenance planning, inspections, and asset history.
  • Experience managing complex cross-functional projects involving business, technology, vendors, and implementation partners.
  • Strong project-governance, budgeting, scheduling, risk-management, and executive-communication capabilities.
  • Experience managing data migration, integrations, testing, cutover, training, and organizational change.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment and travel to operational sites when required.
  • Valid U.S. work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ERP-delivery experience within oil and gas, energy, petrochemical, utilities, refining, or another asset-intensive industry.
  • Experience integrating Dynamics 365 with field-service, finance, procurement, GIS, SCADA, condition-monitoring, or external maintenance systems.
  • Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance, asset criticality, shutdowns, turnarounds, inspections, and maintenance performance indicators.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum, SAFe, or Microsoft Dynamics 365 certification.
