This is a hybrid contract position for a Senior Business Analyst based in Houston, Texas. The analyst supports Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, commonly called Dynamics 365 F&O, and works primarily within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management for a confidential medical equipment manufacturing client. The role requires seven or more years of experience, any valid U.S. work authorization, and occasional travel to manufacturing or operational locations.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations supply-chain initiatives for a medical equipment manufacturer.
The consultant will work closely with supply chain, manufacturing, warehouse, quality, finance, technology, and project-delivery teams to analyze requirements, improve business processes, and support the implementation or optimization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management.
This is a hybrid Houston-area role requiring occasional travel to manufacturing or operational locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and document requirements across procurement, inventory, warehousing, production, planning, quality, and order fulfillment.
- Facilitate discovery workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into process maps, functional requirements, acceptance criteria, and user stories.
- Analyze current supply-chain processes and recommend scalable Dynamics 365 solutions.
- Perform fit-gap analysis against standard Dynamics 365 functionality.
- Support solution design, configuration, testing, training, deployment, and stabilization.
- Work with functional consultants, developers, integration teams, data teams, and business leaders.
- Prepare functional specifications, process flows, test scripts, training materials, and operating procedures.
- Support data migration, system integrations, user acceptance testing, and go-live readiness.
- Help ensure appropriate product quality, inventory traceability, and regulatory controls.
- Identify project risks, dependencies, process gaps, and improvement opportunities.
- Support end users during implementation and post-go-live stabilization.
Required Qualifications
- Seven or more years of Business Analyst, ERP, or supply-chain transformation experience.
- Practical experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, commonly called D365 F&O.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management.
- Experience with procurement and sourcing, inventory management, warehouse management, production control, master planning, and order management.
- Experience gathering requirements and documenting complex business processes.
- Experience supporting ERP implementation, enhancement, upgrade, or transformation projects.
- Strong stakeholder-management, facilitation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with business and technical teams.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid environment and travel occasionally.
- Valid U.S. work authorization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in medical devices, medical equipment, life sciences, healthcare manufacturing, or another regulated manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of lot and serial-number traceability, product quality, controlled inventory, and product recalls.
- Familiarity with FDA-regulated or ISO-controlled manufacturing processes.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 certification.
- Experience with Power BI, Power Platform, Azure DevOps, data migration, or ERP integrations.
- Experience with Agile, hybrid, or structured ERP-delivery methodologies.
